John-Lee, salon owner and director, has an outstanding talent for all things hair-related, with over fifteen years’ experience within the industry. With Wella, Tigi and L’Oreal training behind him, John-Lee’s success has gone from strength to strength, culminating in the ultimate recognition: being awarded the glittering accolade of North West Salon of the Year 2013.

Having worked all over the world, including at some top London salons and aboard luxury cruise liners in the Caribbean, John-Lee has honed his highly advanced technical skills in cutting and colouring, also being highly accomplished in creating stunning wedding and occasion hair. If you are looking for an elegant up-do for your special day, John-Lee is happy to attend at your home or wedding venue to help create your stunning look.

With a down to earth, friendly and highly personal approach to his work and clients, John-Lee promises that whilst you will arrive at the salon as a client, you will leave feeling like a cherished friend.

Gemma Mcinnes

Creative Director

With a talent for creating outstanding styles and replicating the latest fashion looks, Gemma is able to bring creative ideas to life by combining her artistic flair with each client’s vision. With a passion for ongoing learning, Gemma has attended regular advanced training courses, including Redken, Fudge and Wella, gaining enhanced industry-wide knowledge of hair design.

Gemma has been awarded a number of certificates for her outstanding skills through the L’Oreal Academy. She has participated in many shows and is rightfully proud to have won a number of hair competitions. Gemma consistently strives to maintain a standard of excellence, which ensures that her clients look and feel amazing. If you are looking for a personable stylist who is committed to client care, Gemma is your go-to girl!

Rachel Tong

Style Director

A highly skilled and experienced stylist and colourist, Rachel attained NVQ Level 2 in 2007 and achieved the industry accolade of NVQ Level 3 in 2008. Having been a loyal member of the John-Lee Guy team for many years, Rachel is incredibly passionate about her chosen vocation; something evidenced by her loyal client following, which she has built up over the years.

With an almost tangible desire to create the very best experiences and looks for her clients, Rachel combines her love for the industry with her commitment to ensuring that each client leaves the salon with their expectations exceeded. She also guarantees a highly individual look, rather than cookie-cutter styling which is the bread and butter work of less innovative salons.

Rachel is dedicated to remaining up-to-date with the latest trends and training, attending regular courses with Wella Studios and the L'Oreal Academy.

Danielle Long

Top Stylist

As a long-standing and established member of the team, Danielle qualified in 2009, having trained with John-Lee in his family-run salon, Euphoria. Through hard work and dedication to her trade, Danni recently achieved a level 3 NVQ in Hairdressing, which allows her to create stunning, cutting edge styles and highly technical looks.

A keen fashionista, Danni is always bang on trend with the latest looks, and encourages her clients to explore the wide range of complimentary colours available at the salon. With a particular talent for colour selection and application, Danni’s friendly, confident approach to her work allows her to create stunning styles for her loyal client following. Whether you want to be a glossy brunette, stunning redhead or fun-loving blonde, Danni will be able to select the right shades and tones to bring out your best features.

Danni keeps up to date with the latest industry training, attending regular courses with L’Oreal and Wella.

Vicky Schofield

Stylist

Having worked at John-Lee Guy for over four years as Reception Manager, Vicky has become a pivotal member of the team, at the very heart of this busy high street salon. Such role has allowed her to become immersed in the exciting world of hair and beauty, leading to her finally following her dream of commencing a hairdressing apprenticeship in 2012 under the watchful eye of John-Lee. With a keen eye for detail, Vicky instinctively knows what will suit each client in terms of colour and styling, taking a great deal of time to give thorough, professional advice to anyone unsure of their desired look.

Vicky is now fully qualified and has a loyal, increasing client base, which undoubtedly benefits from her talent for hair.

If you are attending a special occasion or simply want to look gorgeous and bronzed, Vicky is also a highly qualified Xen Spray Tan technician. Treatments are available at the salon, so please feel free to book in.

Christel Schofield

Stylist (Barber)

Christel is thrilled to be a cherished member of the award-winning John-Lee Guy team, bringing the very best in barbering and hair design to the salon. Having worked in hair for many years, Christel took time out to look after her beautiful daughter, before returning to the industry with a zest for learning.

Having trained at Michael Johns Hair Academy, Christel completed an NVQ in Ladies and Gents Hairdressing, obtaining a further Diploma in Barbering prior to starting at John-Lee Guy. Her passion for creating outstanding styles means that she is up-to-date with the latest industry trends and looks, building on years of experience to help her get a feel for what each client desires. Whether you are looking for a complex, technical style or manageable, maintenance-free hair, Christel gives every client 100% and brings beautiful, enviable looks to life.
